When it comes to the body, balance is everything.
Whenever there is an imbalance—front to back, or side to side—pain and dysfunction will result. Massage is a powerful tool to restore balance in the musculature of the body. Between sessions, specific stretches and exercises can be employed to keep problematic areas of the body in balance, to reduce pain, and to increase function.
Catalyst Massage is established to treat a wide range of injuries and pain syndromes. The following stretching and exercise guides were written to provide relief for some of the common ailments we see in our clients—complete with diagrams and pictures.
To be effective, stretches should be held for at least 30 seconds. Ideally, stretches should be performed after warming up.
